When was St Mary’s founded?
St Mary’s was founded in 1984 to meet the need for international standard primary and secondary school education for our students.

We are an ambitious school… that ambition is based on a solid foundation and strong identity, which has lasted the test and promise of time. Apart From Academics, What Extracurricular Activities Are Available To The Children?
Every St Mary’s child must belong to at least one ‘club’ per term. The clubs include: drama, chess, scrabble, and music This is because extra curricular activities are important for the development of the total child.

What has St Mary’s performance been like over the years
Our pupils gain admission into local and international universities every year.

 

What Is A Typical Day Like For The Children at St Mary’s?
School starts at 8am with morning assembly. Prior to this the children would have been welcomed at the gate by the members of staff

In the classroom pupils settle down to learning. They learn to talk in low tones while at work rather than shouting at one another. They learn to be accountable for the state of their work as well.

Break is next, the children have their refreshments and play for a while then go back to class…

Later in the day pupils attend special subjects, outside their classes, and learn through extra curricular activities such as ballet and chess club.


What is the role of the Parent Teacher Association at St Mary’s?  
Yes we do. The PTA is a forum for parents and teachers to air their views and make meaningful suggestions that in turn lead to decisions that will benefit the school.

It is like a family because everyone has come together for one purpose the progress of the children.

 

When Does Enrolment Start For The New Session?
Enrolment for the new session starts in the first week of March of each year. Forms will be available for collection during this time. Alternatively you can download one from the website.
